For more than two decades Lelia has independently studied to better understand children and the parent-child relationship.

She provides counselling and educational services to parents and professionals based on developmental psychology, attachment and neuroscience.

It is not only through her ongoing education but through the developing relationships with her four sons and two daughters that she continues to grow.

Lelia believes peace and parenting is the work we do internally in response to what we are experiencing externally.

Peaceful parenting is a portal to progress and wellbeing. Harmonizing developmental science with innate heart-intuition to synergize the parent, child, and relationship.

As the parent rises in their role, the child rests in their role, and both are raised. This isn't a rule, it’s a choice and an ongoing practice.

The journey begins from within.

Perhaps if angry little girls were heard instead of silenced, there wouldn’t be so many hurting women struggling to understand and love themselves.

Perhaps if tearful little boys were comforted instead of shamed, there wouldn’t be so many angry men struggling to express and empathize with emotion.

And vice versa.

Perhaps if vulnerable children were protected instead of exploited, there wouldn’t be so many armoured people struggling to be connected and authentic.

Children need to feel all their emotions without fear of rejection or pressure to protect a parent to mature into their healthiest true self.

Being hard on children does not make them stronger. People are strengthened through compassion and understanding, regardless of gender or age.
